Effective Tuesday, September 1, 2026, we will temporarily pause our veterinary clinic operations for approximately 2-4 weeks while we reorganize and rebuild our vet team, update our equipment, and make improvements to our clinic operations. Our shelter will continue to operate as usual. We will still have wonderful pets available for adoption! Please watch our Facebook page and this website for updates on our reopening and other important information.

If you have an appointment scheduled with us, we will reach out to those clients with more information.

If you experience an emergency with your pet, please call your local veterinarian or visit the closest emergency veterinarian.

The Cedartown/Polk County Humane Society, chartered in 2014, is a tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) corporation. With property donated in May of 2021 in memory of Kerry Hall, our shelter now holds space for over 100 companion animals with room to grow.
